Yesterday, we brought Shannon and Avril to Academie of Danse for a trial class. Usually, they only allow kids that are 4 years and above but luckily they are willing to let Shannon and Avril to go for a trial lesson!
At this age, they learn dance by exploring the four elements of dance which are movement, space, time and energy. These elements will help teach them to internalize rhythms, and to feel the length of music phrases. They will learn to create shapes and group formations, experiment with different body levels and directional patterns, improvise to and interpret different types of music, and follow the teacher's movements.
Both the girls love the dance class! Well, Avril could dance really well and Shannon was abit stiff...hehehe
The gals are soooo cute! My Alycia was also a bit stiff when she first started off ballet. It takes time for the body to be flexible.
that is a wonderful idea otherwise they have no place to vent their energy.
