Happy Birthday, Avril

Today is Avril Birthday!!! Happy Birthday to YOU!!!

Actually we went to her birthday celebration which was held last Wednesday. Her grandfather came to France to visit them last mth, therefore they purposely celebrated earlier before he left for Singapore last Saturday. The party has excluded all fathers as it was held on Wednesday whereby the kids have no school on that day.

It was a fabulous party as Uncle (Avril's grandfather) cooked one Singapore dishes that we missed.

Yes!!! HOKKIEN MEE, NGOH HIANG AND HEI CHO

Well, the kids enjoyed so much as there was so many activities going on. After finishing the cakes, they started to dance.

Great Dancer ya! ^_^

Au Revoir, Serene

Today, Damian, Baby Daylen and Serene went back Singapore for good. We first met on the plane and later she told me that I am her secondary schoolmates. She remembered me as I was one of the Prefects in the school. (That was like more than 10 years ago!!!) :P I don't have any idea who she was as she was 2 years old younger than me. Hehe

Well, the world is so small or we called it Yuan Fen? We even stayed harmony together in one house for the first few months. All the kids love her as she is always smiley and she is also one of the most patience mummies.

Anyway, we had organized a Farewell dinner for her last week. I believe all the ladies had really enjoyed that night. WHY? Because all the kids stayed at home with their Daddy and thus we really had a GREAT night chatting, eating peacefully!!!

We are going to miss you, Serene. I bet Shannon will be missing Baby Daylen too.. Hmmm.. Maybe you will change your mind and come back again at the end of the year? hehehehe Anyway, see you back in Singapore soon.

Not forgetting our Snowskin Mooncake made by Meizhen and the Traditional Mooncakes bought from the Vietnamese Store in Bordeaux.

Congratulation of the Arrival of Asher

Congratulation to Johnny and Lily!! Their handsome little boy was born last Tuesday. 3 claps for Mummy Lily and Baby Asher!! After so many hiccups, Asher baby was finally out from mummy's tummy. The poor baby was vaccumed out and was really traumatised by it as the first vaccum broke while trying to pull him out (Can you imagine the doctor even fell down on the floor while pulling??).

Anyway, everything is over. Baby Asher's head is also back in his beautiful shape. We were so honoured to watch him taking his FIRST Bath too. The nurse was really careful and caring while handling him.

Congrats again!! :)

More Pineapple Tarts

Last week, we decided to make more pineapple tarts! Thus I "jio" 3 of my friends to make them together as most of our kids were all in Creche till 430pm. Luckily, we cooked the pineapple jam a day before. We only managed to finish everything at about 8pm and ended up with about 500pcs of pineapple tarts to distribute.

This time, the cookies were soft and buttery and the pineapple jam is not sticky at all. Delicious! :D

Buzy Buzy

Recently, I have been addicted to one of the games in facebook for the past weeks and lost my momentum in blogging. I hope I will get sick of that game real soon... Frankly, it gets me nowhere... :p

To make it worse, the Winter Sales started last Wednesday. I was busy grabbing cheap toys and clothing for Shannon. Together with a group of kakis, we combed all the neighbourhood supermarkets and shops for cheap clothing and toys.

These are some of the toys I got for her...

Below are the clothes I bought for her

All clothing was at 50% - 70% off!!! We will be going down to Bordeaux City next week and the following to grab more cheap clothing. I heard one of the kakis said that it will be even cheaper.

The price of the clothing and toys in France are quite steep during normal days. To save money, we have to buy clothes and toys ONLY during sales period. She will only get to wear most of the clothes end of this year as her clothes for now are more than sufficient.

Snow Mountain - Gourette

We went to Gourette last Sunday. It was a last minute trip organised on Saturday night.

Gourette was about 3-4 hours drive from where we are staying. We had 4 families going in 2 cars. We started off at 7am and reached there about 11am + after one or two wrong turns. :P

Took our early lunch at the first restaurant we saw and began our FUN DAY!!

Shannon happily walking on the "snow mountain" ^_^

Now, we have to walk up the slope

When we finally reached the top, we have to rest awhile to catch some breath puff and pant LOL... sometime cannot blame us lousy lah, Shannon wanted us to carry her up the slope leh... "chuan" ~_~`

And we started to slide down using the sleigh... This is the BEST part!!

Weeeeee.......

However, sometimes Shannon will end up crying because....

Well it's not my fault.. My backside oso pain siah... ^o^

Although it's really fun but also tiring as we need to walk up the slope again. After some ups and downs, J tried to make a snowman for the kids to play. It was a small snowman but it was enough for the kids to fight over it. ;p

Overall, the trip was fun fun fun for the kids as well as ourselves!!! The only disappointment was we din get to see the "snowing "which forcasted on Saturday.
