2 nights ago, we celebrated J's Birthday with a couples of friends. It was a simple celebration with "Mee Hun Kuay" for dinner. I got Shannon to bring out the cake to Daddy and she kept saying " Mummy, it is heavy". I am so worried that she will dropped the cake.. hehehe

IVF - HCG Triggers
This morning, we went to the fertility clinic for follow up on my IVF. Again, kenna poke 2 times during blood test. After so many poking, my left hand surrendered...the nurse couldn't draw any blood from my left hand even after several attempts of turning the needle left and right #%$#%&&*&%. Luckily, this time my right hand was co-operative or else I think they will draw the blood from my vein around my wrist.
My gynae was not around for some reasons and the other lady gynae took over. My appointment was at 930am and I waited for 1.5 hr for my turn. I did go up to the secretaries and check out when is my turn and the nurse told me the next one. However, I waited another 3 - 4 patients before my turn and those patients were not as early as me. The lady gynae must have skipped my turn to attend to her patients instead. The most frustrating part is she did not update me the growing process of the eggs. She just said: “We will trigger tonight and do Egg Retrieval on Thursday. Fine.. Really had no mood to check with her anything. After collecting some necessary documents and prescription from the secretaries, we went to MacDonald at La Teste to have our lunch.
After lunch, we proceed to the hospital to get more medicine for J. Since he will be casted till Aug 5, he will need the daily injection till then. Talking about him, he is walking on his injured leg now. Well, the doctor did say that he could start putting "some weight from this week, but he literally walks on it everyday. Nagging at him seems useless and hopefully everything will be okay for him.
At night, we realized that we forgot to ask the gynae which injection site we should do for the HCG triggers. According to the medicine instruction, we need it to inject on the buttock but I remembered that it can be done on the stomach area as well. Anyway, J did the injection on my buttock for safe sake. Damn, it was so painful... T.T I am glad that I had finished those injections but I still have to fear the long and fat needles for progesterone injection on my transfer date. T.T I wonder how I did it last time when I am trying to conceive Shannon. Maybe, I was really desperate for a baby last time....

J's Review
J had his broken ankle reviewed last Thursday.
We had a shocked when we saw the "blue black" above. The Orthopedic told us that it was normal. His ankle was still swollen although X-ray showed improvement. The Orthopedic put a new cast on his leg and this cast will only be removed 1 month later. J need to go back to work asap as company audit is approaching thus he rejected the additional MC given. However, J was warned to put up his leg on the other chair even he is doing desk bound job. Which means, J will be going back to work on 16th July.

Ankle Fractured
J did n0t sprained his ankle but FRACTURE it when playing soccer with his friend yesterday(letting out a big SIGH) He is not a soccer person and he doesn't even fancy watching football match. Moreover, I can't remember when is the last time he excercised. He must have injured himself during some stunt he tried to perform...hehehe
His left ankle was really swollen and he can hardly can put weight on it last evening. I suggested to fetch him to the hospital while asking Serene to take care of Shannon for us. After the X-ray, it was confirmed that his ankle was fractured with partial break in one of the bone. I took a look at the X-ray and it showed about 3/4 crack in that bone!!!
Anyway, his lower leg was plaster-casted and he was given 10 days MC. I will get his medicine tomorrow as all the pharmacy is closed. Funny right?? Ohya... need to get crutches for him as well.
Frankly, year 2008 has been quite unlucky for him. He fell sick for a few times and now he "broke" his ankle. I really hope his luck will get better after this incident. Anyway, J the emperor will be enjoying being serve by me for next 2 weeks and there goes my precious "ME" time.
In other words, who is more unlucky???? :P

Happy Father's Day

Initially, this "clay pot" was a father's day gift from Shannon. She did it in the creche with her friends. However, she refused to give it to him wholeheartedly..LOL.. I tried to get her color something for her daddy and this is the best she can do...hahaha

Well, this piece of digital scrapbooking is from me to you, J...
Happy Father's Day!

However, it was not HIS lucky day.. He sprained his ankle badly this afternoon. Hope he gets well soon.

HandyMan
My sore throat is almost recovered.. It took such a long time to recover because there was an ulcer somewhere beneath the tongue. Finally, I am feeling much better today. Last 2 weeks, we refrained ourselves from kissing her lips and strictly no sharing of food. We make sure that we opened the bedroom windows to air every morning. However, this virus seems to be spreading quite badly around and I really hope she doesn't catch elsewhere.
Last weekend was kind of boring as J was helping his friends installing some auto engine ignition to their car. Talking about cars, my car was upgraded too!! J installed auto engine ignition to my car which frighten quite a number of French when they saw my car starting without anyone sitting inside. LOL..
J also installed
A Fan as my car does not have aircon..
A Remote Car alarm
A Reverse Sensor
Wooohooo.. Well, I can say is he is really good in all this stuff. No wonder, his nickname in this village is HANDYMAN.

Counting Down...
We are going back Singapore on coming Wednesday!!!!
5 more days to go and I have already packed the luggage, getting ready to go home!!! Oh, I miss my family and friends back home and of cos the delicious hawker food. We have already planned TO DO LIST on our first day of arrival.
First, we will pick up a car from my FIL and go for breakfast at Tiong Bahru Market. After that, J will send his BOSS player and O2 and old camera for repair. Then we will packed our lunch and go back my mum's house. After lunch, we shall take a nap to replenish our energy etc.. etc...
I hope Shannon will recover from her flu and cough by Wednesday. I bet she caught the flu during Avril's Birthday Party as she was playing in garden with cold wind blowing. Most probably, she caught the cough virus from her father who is sick last week and still not recovered now. Nagging J to take his medicine became a daily routine. Come on! Be responsible and take care of yourself. I am putting all the blames on him because he is not taking good care of himself.
Anyways, I hope that they will be fully recovered by Wednesday.

Bonding Times
This few days, J has been spending more time to play with Shannon. We opened the new toys we bought for her sometimes ago..
The first video shows her playing a toy called Caterpillar. It requires her to use the pincer to pick the balls up and put it on the hands of Dancing Caterpillars. Well, sometimes she play cheat by using her fingers to do the job instead. hahaha.. However, sometimes she creates her own games like placing the balls in a basket and bring it everywhere she goes. Or she will put it on the tables and try to stop them from rolling down the table. As the balls were really small, one orange ball had gone missing.
The second video shows her playing with the toy named Monkey Business. They need to turn the roulette and hang the monkeys on the coconut tree. They have to prevent the leaves from dropping by balancing all the monkeys on the tree. And of cos, she is still not smart enough to understand the theory.. hehehe

Love Letters
I know Valentine Day is approaching but I am refering to Kuih Kapit aka love letters. LOL... We brought over the Kueh Kapit Maker (given by my 3rd sis)from Singapore and J was dying to try it few weeks ago.
Thus, when J was on leave on Monday after my Egg Retrieval, he started to make Kuih Kapit himself while I was resting and Shannon was taking her nap.
Well, I must say it tastes good!
