Why Women Nag?

First of all, thanks for all the concern via msn, phone and blog comments.

I am recovering the fastest because I take my medicine timely (well, sometimes even middle of the night when I wake up for pee) !

Shannon is recovering well as I feed her medicine timely as well as middle of the night when she wake up coughing.

J is recovering the slowest because I am too tired to monitor this BIG baby.... :P

"Haizzz" I think I have to start nagging at J because all of us will not be fully recover if one is still down.... T.T

So it's the Man who causes Woman to be Naggy... Muaahhhaaahhaaaa

Whole Family Is Sick!

J was down with Bronchitis which I thot it only happened in kids. Unluckily, I caught virus from him and was down with cough and flu as well. Shannon's cough had been getting better each day. Hopefully, we doesn't pass the virus back to her again.

Frankly, it's is kind of difficult not to pass the virus back to her as we breath in the same air, sleeping on the same bed. :(

Welcome Elyse to the Beautiful World!

Yeah! I have upgraded to 姨姨 and Shannon upgraded to 表姐 on 9 October 07!!! How I wish I am in Singapore to share the joy and birth of Elyse! Everyone said that Elyse has the look of Shannon!

When I got the photos, I was shocked cos Elyse really looks like Shannon except Shannon has much hummp hummp phong phong xiaoxin "chubbier" face than Elyse. Luckily all our daughters take after their father for having fair snowy skin..hahaha

Once again....Congratulation to Dean and Jo for having such a fair and pretty daughter!

Rememeber to bring Elyse to visit us!

Welcome Little Beanie, J-Ning Chew

This particular piece of digital scrapbooking is specially designed for James, Jessica and J-Ning.

I am still very new to scrapbooking but I am really addicted to it. I had spent hours and hours doing up the above scrapbooking. My first scrapbooking was a crap if you refer to the old post. Literally, I just collage a group of photos and put it in a nicer background. Frankly, I would prefer digital scrapbooking because I am not so willing to spend money on the materials. Scrapbooking become fun when someone loves your design!

Personally, I am really pleased with the above scrapbooking. What about you? :P

Pandan Chiffon Cake - Failed

I had tried baking Pandan Cake 5 years ago for a few times but never really succeed before. The first time was a disaster, I was teased by neighbour for making a Pandan Quay instead of Pandan Cake. *_* Last Sunday, I decided to try it out again!

Well, the Pandan Cake looked damn nice in the oven. But when I took it out to cool down, it sank badly in the middle! When Shannon saw the cake on the table, she started to sing the "Birthday Song"

After I sliced it, I realised that the lower part of the cake was still slightly damp. I should have left it to bake for another 10 more minutes.

Well, taste was good according to J. My sis told me that our aunts in Bekok ,Malaysia bake yummy Pandan Cake. They just mixed everything together, beat it and bake it! 100% of the cakes came out tall and nice?? I think I need to give them a call one day to find out how they do it! :P

Weird Fish

Host unlimited photos at slide.com for FREE!

My French neighbour ringed our door bell last Friday evening. When I opened the door, he was saying something about possions. (Possions = fish in French) After looking at his body languages, I understood that he went fishing but still unsure what he was trying to say. Anyway, I followed him to his car and he showed me a bucket of fish and I assumed that he wanted to share some of his fish with us.

After I nodded my head and said OK , he gave me the whole BUCKET of fish and sprouting some French pointing to the stretch of houses (our friends are staying). Yah, I know what he was trying to say... he wanted me to share the bucket of fish with my friends. I took the bucket and said lots of Merci Beaucoup (Thank You Very Much) to him as well.

After distributing some of the fish to our neighbours, J started to clean the fish. However, he said that he couldn't scrapped the fins out and had problem sliting the stomach of the fish. He tried to slice the skin out and only got 2 THIN slice of fish meat. In the end, we had to throw the whole fish away. #_#

Stickers Artwork?

Still remember the previous post on Stickers Stickers? This evening, as I was busy folding my clothes, I was wondering why my dear girl never come and "kah jiao" me. I quickly put my clothes aside and went to the living room and saw her playing with the small stickers quietly. Well, I took a photo of her because it was just too funny.....

Hmmm.. I really donno what is she trying to do... Then she took it down one by one after I told her that her face might have rashes as these stickers are not supposed to stick on her face!

FET - Trial Transfer

Last Saturday, I went for the trial transfer at the fertility clinic. Some of my friends thought that I will be pregnant after trial transfer but unfortunately NO cos it's just a TRIAL transfer.. hehehe

Well, trial transfer is a fast and painless procedure which last less than 10 minutes. This was supposed to simulate the embryo transfer and measures the depth and configuration of my uterine cavity. After a speculum is placed in the vagina, a small flexible transfer catheter was placed through the cervix. This will ensure that the actual embryo transfer is done as gently and carefully as possible. My gynea told me that I need to take medicine for one day to clear my bacteria found in my vaginal. He assured me that it was just a small problem but wanted to ensure that everything is perfect when we start our FET cycle.

After the trial transfer, he asked me to do another round of blood test. "Sigh" I hate needles but what can I do??? This time round, they took 6 tubes of my blood!!! *_*

Well, this is only the beginning and I starts having cold feet about this big project. I told J that if I admit I have low threshold of pain , can we forget about having no. 2.

Sigh, he justs smile at me and keep quiet.. *_*

Prima Taste Laksa

Last Friday, I cooked Laksa using the Prima Taste. Well, the taste was close to the laksa we ate in Singapore. It was really easy to cook with Prima Taste if you are an amateur in cooking or if you are lazy (like me).. :P !

I never tried all this kind of products before thus I dare not bring too many here. I tried searching their website and the nearest retail shop/restaurant is at United Kingdom. :(

First Earning thru Blogging!

Yippee!!! I got my first payment from Smorty! Well, it's only US$12, peanut compared to many other pro-bloggers out there.
Well, at least I had proved to my dear, dear, unsupportive hb that making money through blogging does really work in this world. I was so happy and excited when I received an email from paypal asking me to accept the payment. Xiao right! Its only US$12 not 12K or 120K.. Well, its not the amount of money received, I just love the feeling of being appreciated and paid after putting in efforts in doing something.

Well, I think I have to really put in tons and tons of effort to increase my Alexa ranking, Technorati ranking, and my Google page rank in other to get more opportunities!

Anyone cares to share how to go about doing it? :P

IVF-FET Updates

After my first appointment with Dr. Emperaire who successfully "made/created" Shannon thru our first IVF attempt a few years ago and a visit to the Biologist, I had made an appointment to go for a trial transfer tomorrow.

I did my blood test on 18 September and the Sonohysterogram on 25 September. The sonohysterogram was slightly painful. The lady used a speculum, a very thin, soft, flexible plastic catheter and inserted it through my vagina and cervix into the lower part of the uterine cavity. Then, the speculum was removed and a vaginal ultrasound probe was placed into the vagina. She injected a small amount of saline (sterile salt water) thru the catheter into the uterine cavity to separate the walls. Then, she rotated the ultrasound probe to show the long axis of the uterus or a transverse axis etc etc..

To make thing even more complicated, the lady doctor was bubbling away in French after I stepped into her room. Being really bad in French, I typically followed her instructions by guessing and looking at her body languages. Luckily I read up abit on sonohysterogram before my visit and I am quite good in reading body languages.. hehe :P

Before leaving the clinic, she passed me a copy of the ultrascan for my keepsake.

Few days ago, we received letters from the fertility clinic on my blood test and sonohysterogram. Well, it's all written in FRENCH and we just chuck it aside since the lady doctor told me everything is fine.

Anyway, after the trial transfer this Saturday, we will be making another appointment with Dr Emperaire to check on every test done and to discuss about our ACTUAL embryo transfer cycle.

Good Luck to Me!

I Signed Up For PayPerPost!

I signed up payperpost and got accepted one month ago. PayPerPost is one of the leading self-service marketplace that allows me to get paid to blog about the products, services and websites I love.

One thing I like about payperpost is they emphasize on our blog ethic. When we write a review, we are required to let readers know that we have been paid for that particular post. Thus, I can keep my post honest without having to lie to my readers, rather just give a good overview of the website or products, and send some buzz in their direction and make some traffic generation for the advertiser.

Frankly, it may be tough for me right now due to my poor writing skills and limited technology skills. There are plenty of opportunities at PayPerPost, especially if I am able to build up my Alexa ranking, Technorati ranking, and my Google page rank.

Well, I am not looking at big bucks right now, but I believe I will be able to overcome all difficulties if I am willing to put in my time and effort. I had gained lots of knowledge after joining PayPerPost, giving reviews on advertisers and their products. And best of all, I started to make more friends around the world reading their fantastic blogs and sometimes receiving wonderful and helpful comments from them.

I really like the idea of blogging for money because as a stay-at-home mom, this is a good way of getting an extra income without leaving the comfort of my home. Most importantly, I get to choose which review to write and I can do it during my free time, at my own pace.

At the moment, I plan to use the money I earned from blogging to buy more storybooks and toys for my precious little girl. Hopefully, I could excel and earn enough for me to continue be a Stay At Home Mum when I return to Singapore 4 years later.

This is one of the reviews being sponsored by them, and it pays $20 for all new approved blog. I will keep all my friends and loyal readers informed of my progress and if you are interested, you can sign up using the form below!

Coughing continues :(

Shannon is recovering well from her flu and fever but sometimes still coughing badly especially during her sleep. For the past few days, her cough caused her to vomit at least once a day. Initially, I thought it was okay for her to vomit since it is another way to clear her phlegm in her chest. However, I am getting more and more worried each day. A doctor told my friend that I should not give her milk and water before she sleep but this was difficult to change as it had been a routine for almost 1 year. I started to dilute her milk (because some says milk powder is heaty) and give her 150ml of milk instead of 240ml of milk. I hope my method works and she doesn't vomit anymore.

Do You Use Storage Bins?

We have many different kind of storage bins in the house. Daddy had something like a Tip Bin Storage Unit in the garage storing different sizes of screws. While Shannon had a 8 storage bins shelving to keep her toys need and tidy. I am using different sizes of storage bins for my kitchen to segregate different types of food items as well as a few stacking storage bins for keeping our winter clothing during summer time.

I must admit that storage bins are really useful to keep my house organised!

Cheap Fish (BAR)!

Host unlimited photos at slide.com for FREE!

This post is dedicated to all my friends in France!

We went to Port du Arcachon last Sunday again and bought 3 fish(BAR) at only 10€. Usually it will cost about 6€ - 8€ for one Bar (around the above size) and we bought it only for 10€ for 3! The best part was the entrails of the fish had already been cleaned! You just have to scales the fish and Voila!!!

Autumn is here

Daddy cut off all the branches on the trees on Sunday. He said the branches and leaves will grow very nicely when spring arrives next year. Well, I think it's a good idea to cut off the branches as we don't need to clear the falling leave constantly during autumn. :P

When Shannon saw the trees in the garden, she stared at the trees for awhile wondering why the tree is bald. She turned to me and said "Mummy, where is the leaves?" Then when she saw the piles of branches behind her, she said "Mummy, I found the leaves, Yeah" ^_^

Garage Storage Cabinets

We have moved to our house for about half a year and our garage is still in a mess. I came across garage storage cabinets which carry over 1000 products to make our garage another room in our house. They have a wide range of storage cabinets which look modern and stylish.

Personally, I would prefer a steel cabinets because they are strong and reliable. However, I will be in France for only 3.5 years, thus I would purchase a wood garage storage cabinets instead. Although it is not as strong as steel cabinets but I believe it will be good enough for us.

An "Artwork" of Shannon

Shannon did something interesting yesterday. While I was chatting with my friends on msn, she kept asking me for scotch tape. Then I saw her sticking the tape on the metal plate. Instead of wasting the scotch tape, I went inside the room and get her a roll of sticker tape which I bought in Singapore sometimes ago. After tearing the tape several times upon her request, she completed her first artwork!

However, I still don understand why she stick the plate with the stickers. To decorate it or just for FUN?
